Our server Ray was attentive, funny, and super efficient—maybe because his parents own the place and were keeping an eye on him! 😄 But seriously, this is a warm, family-run restaurant where everyone pitches in, and it shows.
My wife had the Chicken Tuculeño (pictured), and I had the Chicken Madrileña—both were absolutely delicious, authentic, and served in HUGE portions. This after starting with the garlic soup which was amazing. We were running late and decided to skip the start of the Seahawks game at home but the staff found it for us on their TV and even cheered along with us.
Can’t recommend this place enough—great food, great people, and great atmosphere. Don’t miss it!

We talked this morning how we need to return before heading home. We like supporting locally owned family restaurants further back on the island and El Moro fits the bill for this.

I highly recommend their beef burrito, imho, the best item on the menu. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. My Spanish is terrible but they had no problem with that. Prices were fair. The building has a ton of history and photos to take in. We were on Cozumel for 8 days and we visited Restaurante El Moro for dinner on two separate days. I highly recommend visiting them for any meal. Thank you!

Food was phenomenal, fast but not rushed, and still shadowed by the service. I work in hospitality and I strive to be 1/2 as good as Ray. Came feeling like a guest, left feeling like family.
Definitely worth the extra 5 minutes off the normal, worn-down, tourist path.
Recommend 10/10.
